NEW YORK AUTO SHOW: Mercedes-Benz CLA45 AMG Slips Out Ahead Of Schedule

 Just a week ahead of its anticipated debut at the New York Auto Show, AMG's new compact performance sedan has leaked online.

The new S-Class may be the biggest news that Mercedes-Benz has planned for the upcoming New York Auto Show, but enthusiasts (or really anyone with less than $100k to spend on a German luxury sedan) will be more impressed by the new CLA45 AMG. Mercedes may not be ready to unveil the whole thing just yet, but that hasn’t stopped this set of images from leaking out, giving us the full unadulterated look at the compact four-door performance coupe.

That is an impressive looking AMG for sure. cidflekken, it was the regular CLA250 that was tested by all the U.S. magazines NOT the CLA45 AMG.

Proper!! Very interesting times ahead. I will be trading out of my 09 BMW 335i later this year. I was thinking very seriously of a 2013 335xi with the M sport package and upgraded exhaust, spec the way I want it, i think the bimmer will be roughly the same price as this thing! Now what the hell do i do? HELP?

The performance with the 335xi and the CLA45 might be the same and the price may be comparable. But the BMW might have a better interior, only b/c it's based on a higher-level base model. The CLA45 might have a sportier chassis, too.

I've tried my best to look at the CLA from all angles to see the beauty in it. I JUST CAN'T SEE IT!

It's definitely "swoopy" -- I will need to see it in person to know if I like it or not....not digging the interior though, the round vents and add-on nav screen just look bad

I want to like it, I really do, but something about the car is just too "short" looking for me. I like the "4 door coupe" look in most other applications (6 series GT, CLS, even the VW CC), but this just doesn't seem to be working. I'd have to see one in person I suppose.

On another note.....a FWD AMG car or is this going to be AWD? I can only imagine the people that are going to be driving these things.

The CLA45 AMG will come with standard AWD(4Matic in Mercedes-Benz speak).
