Quality Job None? Chrysler To Recall 260,000 Vehicles In 6 Different Campaigns
Chrysler Group said Tuesday it is recalling about 260,000 vehicles worldwide in six separate recall campaigns to fix a variety of problems in pickups, cars and SUVs.

Six separate recall campaigns is a large number for Chrysler. By contrast forall of 2012, Chrysler had 13 recall campaigns covering 1.3 million vehicles.

But it's still a relatively low number of vehicles when compared to recent recall campaigns by other automakers. In filings with the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, the Auburn Hills automaker said it is recalling about 139,000 cars to prevent improper warning-light illumination and said it was unaware of any accidents or injuries associated with this issue. That campaign covers some 2011-2012 Chrysler 300s, Dodge Chargers and Dodge Challengers assembled between April 2011 and December 2011.

The greatest engineered hunks of garbage known to man. And at the expense of American taxpayers. Why couldn't Walter P. Chrysler's hunks of garbage go the way of Hudson, Packard, Studebaker, AMC and others? The government would have done everyone a favor.
