VIDEO: THIRD Time's A Charm — Audi's R8 To Star AGAIN In Iron Man 3
While anyone can take a shot at Audi for it's...er...predictable designs, one thing that can't be knocked is the company's marketing. I mean, it's exquisite.

A particularly notable move was getting product placement in the Iron Man series. Frankly, what other vehicle would have worked? A showcase of technology and furturism is the crux of the R8.

Then it shouldn't be much surprise that Audi and Tony Stark will, once again, be reunited for Iron Man 3, coming to theaters this May.

So, whatever did happen to that Acura NSX, eh? ;)

The new 2014 Audi R8 is Iron Man Approved.

The R8 is Audi race-inspired engineering in its purest form. Built for performance, the new 2014 R8 is built with the revolutionary Audi Space Frame® chassis, a seven-speed S tronic® transmission, full LED lighting, enhanced braking and spoiler systems, and Audi Magnetic Ride, which offers instantaneous driver control at the touch of a button.

The Acura NSX and Acura products are in Captain America, Thor and The Avenger movies not Iron Man movies ;-) ...smarmy pants

http://www.chron.com/cars/article/Iron-Man-parks-Acura-for-Audi-as-carmakers-divvy-4344626.php

"Acura, meanwhile, remains the official vehicle of S.H.I.E.L.D., the fictional espionage and law-enforcement agency of the Marvel world, and one of its cars snuck in a brief appearance during the credits of "Iron Man 2," according to Chuck Schifsky, a spokesman for the luxury brand. He also declined to say how much Tokyo-based Honda has spent to promote Acura models in the films.

"Acura will not be used in 'Iron Man 3,' but that should in no way be a reflection of our relationship with Marvel," said Schifsky. "Our relationship with Marvel at this point is unchanged."

Frankly, I can't understand why Audi uses a cartoon character to shill the R8. Considering that the average age and income of R8 owner's likely puts them out of interest in Ironman, couldn't they find a better spokesperson? I guess Audi figures that prospective buyers are taking their kids to see the movie and will get "hooked". Porsche uses Walter Rohrl; Audi uses Robert Downey Jr.
