Korean Luxury Revealed - Next Gen Genesis Interior Gets Exposed
If there's one model that has single-handedly changed customer perceptions about Korean cars in general, and the Hyundai group specifically, it's the Genesis mid-size premium sedan, which proved that the company was finally ready to look German and Japanese rivals straight in the eyes.

The fact that the press and consumers have warmly received the Genesis puts a lot more pressure to Hyundai for its replacement, a futuristic glimpse of which we had with the HCD-14 Concept at the Detroit Auto Show in January.

Agreed. Made me immediately think BMW 3/5 series console. Hyundai did bribe a BMW designer to come over and recycle his work for Hyundai, so isn't a huge surprise. KIA got 2nd hand Audi designs, so Hyundai gets 2nd hand BMW designs. There is some mixing and matching between Hyundai and KIA though, evidence being the KIA 5 series.

Unless its discounted, it won't sell any better than the current one, even with a sub $16K econobox version to pad Genesis sales numbers. The BMW interior is huge improvement over its current pre-school design.

Oh wow, I'm embarassed for my Korean friend. He just told me the Genesis shifter was stolen off the new BMW 8-speed shifters. Wow, these foreigners have no shame.
