2015 Audi A4's Radical, More Aggressive Styling and Lighter Weight Previewed by Auto Express
The new Audi A4 saloon will go on sale in 2014, and as well as getting a radical new look – shown in our exclusive images – the new car will be much lighter and more efficient than at present, and finally take the fight to the BMW 3 Series as a genuine driver’s car.

Our images reveal a potent V6-powered S4, but all models will benefit from a bold new design, which marks a significant change for the A4 and A5 families.

Alexander Pesch, head of technical project management for Audi, told us: “The next A4 will move the game on. The jump from today’s car in terms of design and efficiency will be really big.”

"2015 Audi A4's Radical, More Aggressive Styling"

So it's not the car in the picture.

Obviously that is not the actual upcoming A4. It is just Auto Express's interpretation of what the design COULD look like.

The 2015 A4 will likely look a lot different than the car rendered by Auto Express.

I don't like the way the hood meets the fascia.

You're right, I didn't see that until the detail photo. So great, you have to compare this with the 3-series front end, which looks like it has had a low speed collision that pushed the nose up. Not sure which is worse.

Zee Germans are driving me right into the competitions arms. Q50, ATS, are great looking. The Germans really need to step up the styling.

This is just the current S4 with a different grille and headlights

This isn't even close to being the real deal. There was another auto website that had some actual photos and half camouflaged, but you could see the headlights clearly. Why even post a blog if you don't even have a true photo of the real car. But still loving my new Audi A6.

Will Audi include in this redesign free cosmetic surgery like Hyundai does with their cars?

"Following at least one reported incident of a man who claimed his ear was sliced in half following the deployment of his side airbag, Hyundai has announced a recall for certain model year 2011 through 2013 Elantras"

Kinda sad how the A4 turned out to be a generic German sedan.

So, in other words, GermanNuttie, you'd post anything that gets Audi attention, right? Clearly you don't believe this to be the actual A4 replacement, yet you still post it. Exactly. Makes zero sense to me, either.

He dosen't get sarcasm either.

This article makes perfect sense. Car blogs and websites preview an upcoming model by creating their own rendering on what THEY THINK the upcoming model MIGHT look like.

Even though this isn't what the new A4 will look like, there are certainly design features of the rendering that might make it into production such as the 3-D grille, more angular headlights, larger air intakes etc.

Auto Express mag used the renderings of the 2014 Audi A4 from AutoBild, Germany's largest car mag.

Car Magazine used the renderings from Auto Motor und Sport, Germany's second largest car magazine.

It's highly likely that both major German car magazines designed their renderings based on information from their reliable sources inside Audi. These are Germany's most influential car magazines that German car makers like Audi seek to cultivate.

I haven't seen any spy shots of camouflage 2014 A4 or next gen S5 undergoing testing. Which is strange since Audi should have been testing the cars the past few years.

In 2009, Audi claimed that it was already testing a prototype of the next generation S5 that was 880 pounds (400 kg) lighter than the first gen S5 (i.e., about 3,044 lbs). So it's likely the next S4 and S5 will be much lighter, even if the final car does not have 880 pounds less weight.

Links are appropriate to post as long as they back up one's arguement and provide factual data or reviews.
