SEEN & HEARD: A CUSTOM Grey Porsche Panamera Turbo S That Will ROCK Your World
One of the best things about a Porsche is how you can really make it your own.
If you thought MINI was the customization kings, you haven't been to a Porsche dealership lately. If you bring your checkbook you
literally
can create a Boxster, Cayman, Cayenne, Panamera or 911 that's completely one of one on the globe.
And thanks to our friends at Porsche San Diego, who let us shoot a primo example, we are able to show you a Panamera Turbo S that is one unique car. They know the art of uniques — they sell more than anyone else.
The number one reason this specific vehicle caught our eyes is the custom paint to sample. The dark gray just seems to look just right with the black wheels and bright yellow calipers on the carbon ceramic big brake kit.

It's a concept.
As in I saw and heard vehicles posted within the accompanying gallery.
I know, I know. Very difficult to understand.

It seems to be a nice color. The facelift’s flatter liftgate gives it a better profile. The badging on the liftgate looks much better on the road than the photos suggest.
Porsche Panamera Turbo S (before facelift): Supertest by Horst von Saurma – he rated it only 49 points out of 70 points (for comparison, he gave 69 points to a Porsche GT3 RS 4.0, 68 points to a Carrera S [991], 66 points to a 911 Turbo). I wonder how much Porsche has managed to improve this facelifted Turbo model, which is slightly slower than the discontinued Turbo S model (I expect the forthcoming Audi RS7 will be faster in testing, even though the manufacturer’s 0 to 60 mph acceleration times of 3.9 sec are the same).

I assume the rear-seat legroom remains the same tight 33.3 inches since this is the standard wheelbase Panamera Turbo (for comparison the Audi S7 and RS7 have 37 inches rear legroom, for much less price). The extended Panamera Turbo Executive has about 39 in of rear legroom.
But the good thing is that you can easily spend well over $50,000 on options to customize the Porsche into a one of a kind car on the planet. And it would still be cheaper than buying a BMW 335i in Singapore (a BMW 335i costs almost USD$300,000 to buy due to the high cost of cars in Singapore, where the top selling cars are BMW, Mercedes, Lexus/Toyota, Audi, Volkswagen).
So this $216,000 Porsche should be a bargain for many Americans.

You know in my experience the Panamera's backseat was surprisingly spacious.
I easily fit behind a 6'2 driver and I am 6'8.

I believe legroom is unchanged in the standard Panamera. Though I haven't seen the facelifted Panamera yet, I have ridden a few times in the rear seat of my friend's 2011 Panamera. It requires more work to get in and get out of the Panamera's rear cabin than other mid size luxury cars. That's because I have to squeeze beneath the front-top corner (as the door frame is tighter ahead of declining roofline and the wheelwell arch). And then I have to lower myself onto the seat (because the rear seats seem to be mounted slightly lower than in other cars as well as seem lower than the Panamera's tall front seats). Legroom isn't that great to me. Room for my feet gets tight if the front driver/passenger lower their front seats for their comfort. Though the Panamera's rear headroom is good for tall passengers, I think rear passengers will feel more relatively more squished in the rear of a standard Panamera than in the Audi S7 or BMW 640 Gran Coupe. Of course what feels tight to me feels spacious to you. And some of these dimensional issues are addressed by the extended Executive versions of the Panamera.

That's a inane aurgument, know it's not, San Diego is not in Singapore, and the car is over priced by a 100% and if it had any other badge on the front people would be screaming Aztek. The Panamera is one of the most over rated cars on the planet.

$216,000?!!! Umm no. For that I can buy myself a second hand Aston Martin Rapide with cash to spare for another car. Yeah the Rapide isn't as fast or as practical but which come on. The Rapide is drop dead sexy and the rear end of the Panamera looks like a dildo.
