Could buying the new Jaguar XK cost you your license?
Nail the gas. The sound changes from throaty in the background to roaring in the foreground and the car leaps forward, as if it had more horsepower than the 300 it does. The automatic transmission snaps off crisp shifts — or you do, using the manual-mode paddles on the steering wheel — and the car's running way-past-legal speeds quickly enough to threaten your driver's license. And you feel like a million bucks.

ITs funny all the reviewers love the XK but guys who can't afford it say it looks like a Taurus. I can't wait till mine gets here.

I've seen and heard two in person recently, and they looked and sounded simply spectacular. Much better than the lame green-colored version that Jag showed at the auto shows last year. And the XKR will be a stunner.

it sounds amazing. a friend got one, rubbed my nose in it by doing a full-throttle take off outside my house...

Give it a few years and the XK will be worth less than a Taurus. That's the way it goes with virtually all Jags -- no resale value. The ones that do have resale value have no transportation value: if you drive them they will fall apart.

Even the out-going XKR (390HP) felt slow... it felt kinda trashy...

I can't imagine the new one being that much better... COST YOU YOUR LICENSE?!? get outta here...
