Alfa Planning Ghibli-Based 6C Coupe And Roadster

Upcoming Alfa Romeo coupe and convertible could borrow liberally from Maserati, Ferrari and student designs.

Rumors of a new flagship sedan from Alfa Romeo have abounded ever since the Italian automaker killed off the 166 in 2007. Now they appear to be picking up steam as Car and Driver reports that Alfa is working on a new model line to be called the 6C. The revived nameplate indicates the cylinder count, just as the 4C employs a four-cylinder engine and the 8C before it packed a V8. In this case, the new range would be built around the twin-turbo V6s developed by Ferrari and Maserati for the Ghibli.

all these great ideas wont amount to much unless Alfa actually reenters the market.

All I see from Alfa is concepts, concepts, and more concepts. Putting bread and butter models on the market is still over a year away barring any setbacks, cuts, etc.
