DRIVEN + VIDEO: Tiff Needell Gives Us The Review Of A Lifetime — Jaguar F-Type V6 vs. Porsche 911

You had to know that when Jaguar released the specifications and pricing of the all-new F-Type that it would square up with the sport car favorite, Porsche 911. Here we go again. Another toe-to-toe battle.

The all-new 911 is rather spectacular. So much so I felt it was the best car I drove in 2012. It's still up there on my all-time favorite list. It's perfect.

But Jaguar's latest and greatest product is a very stellar offering with gobs of power and sounds that make my heart melt. The question really comes down to the Jaguar's driving dynamics: are they as precise and tidy as the Porsche's?

For example, I drove the extremely limited XK-RS and walked away disappointed. It felt exactly like an XK-R just with some more hp added in. It wasn't what I expected, at all.

That said, there's one man for the job that outshines everyone else, in my humble opinion. He would be, but of course, Tiff Needell of Top Gear and Fifth Gear fame. He's moved on to EVO Magazine but trust us, he's still a hooning maniac that wheels and deals better than just about everyone we've seen.

There will be even more of a gap with the PDK. Not to worry, though, as I'm waiting for the Coupe anyway.

Tiff is the best presenter, hands down. Chris is trailing by a few seconds with Vicki bringing up the rear for the podium.
