Much like MINI, it seems our friends over at Fiat have decided its very lovable 500 lineup has to expand. So, how do you do that exactly when its suppose to be a small city car?

Very carefully, I'd think.

According to our friends at Auto Express, the 500XL and 500L will match the Ford C-Max.

So, how much further will Fiat stretch the 500 lineup? Now it will feature the standard city car, a convertible, the 500L and the 500XL.


...This is the first image of the production version of the Fiat 500XL. The image first appeared on a Spanish Internet forum, and shows the new seven-seater version of the Fiat 500L in its full elongated glory.

As you can see from the pictures, the car looks very similar to the 500L from nose to C-pillar, but it does get a longer rear overhang and larger rear quarterlight window...

I like space-efficient vehicles, but to make it properly for the 2nd row it needs sliding doors. Ford engineers got shot down by the marketers with the C-max, looks like the same bad decision here.

Mazda 5 owner here...a brilliant car/van that sells decently well considering Mazda doesn't even advertise it.

Quirky. Yes. Rather have the 500X instead & would've make a lot more sense for the US market anyways. Geez, FIAT...really?
