SEEN & HEARD: An Atacama Yellow BMW M5 — Does It Blow Your Socks Off Or Leave YOU Cold?

SEEN & HEARD: An Atacama Yellow BMW M5 — Does It Blow Your Socks Off Or Leave YOU Cold?
The BMW M5 is a legendary sport sedan. Some could probably argue it was one of the catalysts that started the uber sport sedan craze.

BUT it also tends to be relatively subtle with its presence on the road. It isn't a car that immediately shouts "I am an M5 and I have xxx horsepower!" Thinking back, I am going to have to say that probably the LOUDEST color was Imola Red.

One owner in the Middle East decided to take the high road though.

That's because they've optioned their vehicle in Atacama Yellow, which was originally produced for the BMW Z4.

Unlike Dakar Yellow or Phoenix Yellow, this is a proper yellow. It reminds me of Speed Yellow, one of Agent 001's favorite Porsche color. So much so, that was nearly the name of AutoSpies.com.

A bright yellow probably wouldn't be our first choice of BMW Individual colors for an M5, but if you're trying to get noticed in Qatar, where chrome wrapped cars are not out of place, this color choice makes more sense.

I love yellow and was prepared for a "hell yes" response - but no. I think the M3 looks great in yellow though.

3 up-votes, hurrah. Let me add mine so I can reward you for your unique and hilarious brand of ethnic and chauvinist humor. I though you were going to go for the funny but inoffensive comparison to Yellow cabs from our own country, but what a zinger you delivered with references to large women and Mexicans. Why settle for a simple comparison when you can insult two groups of people to the approval of the Autospies audience. You can't "loose" with that comedy gold, baby.
