Have YOU Been Bitten By The "Must Have" Bug? What's The ONE Vehicle You NEED To Own?

Have YOU Been Bitten By The
One story I found compelling was how Agent 001 went from being into his German luxury vehicles and then hurriedly went out and bought a Jeep Wrangler after his experience at a Jeep press launch. Yesterday he just showed off his latest acquisition, a Jeep Wrangler Rubicon 10th Anniversary Edition.

The funny thing though is he isn't the only one.

On Wranglerforum, a new 10th Anniversary owner shared his own interesting story. After exclusively owning Audis for 13(!) years, the latest being a B8 2010 S4, he just got into a Wrangler. For me, this illustrates several things:

1) The 10th Anniversary is going to be a special Jeep for years to come.

2) Jeep is doing a helluva job with "conquests" — it probably didn't expect this kind of buyer to come in and seek out the "10A."

3) As the new owner says, he had been "jonesing" for a Wrangler since he first drove one. Where there's one, there's many.

That said, what is the ONE vehicle you've driven and since then you haven't been the same? You NEED to own one at some point down the road?

Been reading a lot of you waiting on 10A Rubicons so I must have gotten lucky! I've write about vehicles as a side gig and have been jonesing for a Wrangler since the first comparison test I did a few years back with a Rubicon and a Raptor. I've driven every Hawaiian island in a Wrangler as well and there just hasn't been another vehicle that makes me feel as free as a Jeep does.

That said, the lease on my 2010 Audi S4 was up and I had to make the decision to keep it or move on. I've had exclusively Audis for the last 13 years so the decision wasn't one that I took lightly as I absolutely loved the vehicle.

Since I first laid eyes on a 10A at the Detroit Auto Show in January, I've had that "must have" bug. I've been browsing the incoming inventory on Jeep's website and happened to see that a local dealer had one 'in transit' with exactly the options I wanted. Gave them a call and sure enough, it had come off the truck
the afternoon before and still wasn't even on the front lot yet. Fast forward a few hours later and I was signing the papers on this beautiful Rubi with 10 miles on the odometer. No waiting, no fuss, and a pretty good sales experience. Can't wait to enjoy driving her in ways I couldn't dream of in the Audi!

When the retro styled Mustangs came out, I had to own one. Placed my order at the dealership and "8 months" later, my 2006 (was ordered as a 2005) red Mustang GT convertible was in. Still have it as my weekend car.

Add me to the wrangler must have. Going to start shopping today. Not a lot of 10A's on the lots so might have to drive a regular Rubicon and order a 10A.

that i NEED to own? I need a small minivan like a Mazda 5 that has hybrid or diesel engine. How's that for putting a damper on the list of boy's toys above :-) That I WANT to own, I'd like to own one of the Citroen's executive cars, like the DS, CX, SM or the C6, even the SM.

M'kay. I don't think you put a damper on anything. Everyone has their preferences. At one point, something like you mention would have been a good choice but as it stands now, I'm at a place where my daily commute is under 10 miles. I can afford a 2nd car and not feel the pressure to buy something that looks like a nursing shoe in the name of fuel economy. Plus... Mine will be cool for a long time to come and have resale value. Yours will be worthless in 7-10 years. There's your damper...

2011 Audi Q7 S-Line package in white please. Reason for the 2011 is because the 2012 and up has a little less leg room in the driver's seat than the 2011 and lower and being 6'6" I need all the room I can get.
