Does Jaguar's New F-Type Have What It Takes To Stand Side By Side With The Legendary E-Type?
Jaguar has high hopes that its stunning new F-Type can be a worthy successor to the legendary E-Type. We put the two cars head-to-head

For "fun" there should at least be a manual option for the base model (stripped down, light "RS" version). If it's not about raw performance number but driver engagement through the winding back country with the top down, nothing beats a stick.

When the E was introduced there wasn't a person over ten years of age who didn't want it...it was a game changer, gotta have it, oh my God is it beautiful car. Nothing on the road could match its looks...it had good performance...and was priced well below a Mercedes SL. The new F is nice looking but will not equal a Porsche performance wise and is over priced. The E was from another galaxy...the F from a small country across the pond.
