VIDEO: A 60-Something Year-Old Woman Takes Her Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG Drag Racing
As a betting man, I'd say that if there's one sport that is likely to be dominated by the male sex, it would be drag racing. While I don't find myself on the strip that often — or at all — I would consider it an educated guess.

But while scrolling through some automotive clips this weekend, I ran across a particularly unique one.

It features a 475 horsepower Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG that sounds like a monster and a "60-something" year-old woman giving it the beans. The AMG does the quarter mile in just over 11 seconds and sports plates declaring "BADBENZ."

In the quick clip it's clear that this woman has gasoline pumping through her veins as she notes she has been drag racing since her teens and when she notes her husband is "over there" he's piloting a first-gen Dodge Viper that may — or may not have — lost its driveshaft.

These people are hardcore!

I had to do a double take when I saw who was driving this badass sounding AMG at TX2K12, doesn't sound like she's gonna quit drag racing anytime soon! Racing with her husband and his 10 second Viper who broke just before I talk to her.

She doesn't look like she's trying to show off how young she feels or how she's out to prove her X-factor or anything. She sounds genuine, in a low key kind of communication style. Kind of sweet, in a quirky way, how she and her husband are just enjoying a weekend as a long married couple. Good on her. I like the way the guy was talking to her too, with a lot of respect and joy in his voice.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but weren't first gen GT-Rs running 11.8s in the quarter.
