Bob Lutz Says Calls Are Rolling In From Fisker Owners To Drop In V8 Power

VL Productions, which is converting the Fisker Karma electric vehicle that is renamed the Destino and powered by a 556-hp General Motors V-8 engine, won’t be adversely affected by the niche auto maker’s sliding fortunes.

That’s the word from Bob Lutz, who with partner Gilbert Villarreal is developing the $185,000 Destino supercar for sale later this year.

Lutz confirms VL obtained 20 Karma “gliders,” lacking batteries and an electric powertrain, before Fisker’s bankruptcy.

Oh Lutz, the perpetual fuel salesman. I love your quest for performance, but if you can buy Fiskers and convert them to gas power, why not bring your expertise and industry connections to bring an alternative fuel vehicle to market?

You'll never get your tax dollars back, so stop complaining. The amount invested in Fisker and Solara are nothing compared to the overspending in the U.S.'s defense budget; a lot of planes, tanks, ships and other goodies that were neither needed nor requested.
