What Is The MOST Underrated Vehicle So Far In 2013?

It's always hard determining who's the winners and losers in the greater automotive space.

Well, not always.

It's easy to pick out a horrendous design or an engineering defect. But these days, as we've reported previously, vehicles across the board have become significantly better in terms of reliability and quality. It's actually getting hard to decipher the great cars from the good cars.

That means it's even harder to spot the underrated vehicles that just aren't getting the tender loving care they deserve.

That said, we want YOU to weigh in on the best cars that buyers don't know about!

new Mazda 6. Probably the best car in the segment, won't sell remotely near the numbers of its competitors. If you slapped a Honda or Toyota badge on it it'd be the best selling car in the country.

Dodge Dart
Mazda 6
Subaru Impreza
Volvo S60
Infiniti M (or whatever it will be called next)

These cars are all overlooked and should be selling more than what the currently do. The Mazda 6 is just coming out, so I hope it will sell more than say the 200/Avenger, it's a good car!

The BMW 5 series GT. It's a 7 series for the price of a 5. Critics of it's looks usually haven't seen it in person, have old fashioned tastes anyway and need to evolve. You get the cargo space of an SUV without hauling a big empty box around 24/7 and that space is available for a luxurious back seat. It gets almost all the packages and options of the 7 series some of which aren't available to the 5 series sedan. The 535 gets 30mpg HWY.

Actually, rumor has it that it sells very well in China and meets it;s quota's elsewhere. It's underrated in the US by old farts who diss it just to join the crowd. Duh. You think that affects sales? 7 series for the price of a 5. No brainer.

Audi R8. In the last 2 weeks Car Magazine has picked it over the 991S and Jag F type, EVO has picked it over the MP4 and 458 and Chris Harris has picked it over the 997.2 turbo S and a 725 hp GTR.

Jetta TDI trumps the Dart. Its faster than any current dart, and gets much better fuel economy (the EPA ratings for the Jetta TDI are very under rated) I get 46 mpg on the highway with my passat tdi cruis set on 76. most Jetta TDI owners report 50+ mpg. I won't say the Dart isn't good, because I like everything about it except the name. If they offered a 2.0 turbo diesel it would be hands down the best in class.
