the facility cost millions to build, it's in sweden and there are hundreds of meters of undergroud heating pipes to clear snow from ceratin areas, like in the video.
xdrive is pretty good on this.

A lot of other companies have cold-weather testing places in Northern Sweden, Saab, Volvo, Ford, Land Rover....

doesn't look that challanging. I bet every awd system can do that stuff with half the car still on dry pavement. Now if the xdrive could do that with the whole car on ice, that would be impressive.

it showes the problems with X drive
the weeks have to spin to get the traction to go to the other wheels/ It is a ok system but with the quattro you could have all 4 wheels on ice or if you did the 2 wheel ice test like this then the wheels would not spin

Looks like a better alternative than RWD. But can it go up a ski ramp like the Audis?
