Lamborghini Urus SUV Will Begin Production In 2017

Keeping in the headlines, Lamborghini has confirmed production for the Urus SUV, which will commence in 2017.

The news took backseat after the release of the Lamborghini Egoista Concept during the companies celebration dinner at the of Grande Giro 50th anniversary tour. Many enthusiasts have been waiting to see if the Urus SUV would ever enter production and now it is official.

The announcement by Lamborghini’s CEO Stephen Winkelmann, confirmed that the Urus SUV will begin production in 2017.

I don't see a point in Lamborghini making SUV's. They are following the path of Porsche now. They really don't need to and it will only tarnish their image in my opinion. As a tree of corporations stacked high, VW does not need create a new segment for the company, they have VW/Audi and Porsche (unfortunately) that covers those markets.
