Have You Ever Been As Pissed As This Guy Was Over Dealership Customer Service?
An angry car owner hired three men to smash up his luxury Maserati with sledgehammers outside the company’s show room in a protest at 'poor customer service.'

The owner, identified only by his surname Wang, saw his £276,000 model turned into wreck in Qingdao, China,

According to the Xinhua news agency, the owner had been charged for a new part, even though an old one had been used during car repairs.

agreed.

I don't really understand Wang's message.

If you get a lemon or bad service...you make the dealership or manufacturer pay, not completely destroy your own vehicle. If you don't like the service, sell the car & move on...don't spend even more money on it. This guy was just silly, stupid.

This is what happens when you have made too much money courtesy of stupid Americans who buy too many crappy made in China goods sold by Walmart. That's why I refuse to buy anything made in China unless : 1. I shop for an item made in the US, and can't find one. 2. It's an emergency (like needing some kitchen gadget for an upcoming meal)

I also wonder who really owns the dealership. I doubt it's Maserati owned. Probably one of his fellow citizens.

It's been a commonplace that the Chinese do this kind of stupid revenge against a Dealership or a Brand. It does not accomplish to anything but creat an agressive and violent form of protest.

I'd just sell the thing and sleep soundly on a bed of money.

This seems inexplicable (destroying your property in front of the dealer that sold you the product) to the Western mind. I'm no Orient scholar, but I think to understand this, you have to understand the exceedngly vital, primary role of "face" in Asian society. If you consider "face", or the horror of being publicly shamed, then this action becomes comprehensible, if still not sensible, to a Westerner. I think a lot of the seemingly incomprehensible actions of the North Koreans, similarly, become more understandable if you consider that they put "face" above all else. I doubt this action (in the picture) had much of a result from the dealer in today's China, but if this had been in pre-WWII Japan, the DEALER would probably have committed suicide over this!

I dunno...I think this guy accomplished what he set out to do... he ended up on the internet and gained everyone's attention over this. Maserati is probably taking notice as well.
