Can You See A Trend Yet? Chinese Enter The Bidding Process For Fisker
A boutique carmaker led by a former General Motors executive Bob Lutz and China's largest auto parts supplier submitted an offer to buy cash-strapped automaker Fisker Automotive, people familiar with the matter told Reuters today.

VL Automotive and China's Wanxiang Group made an offer this month to buy Fisker through a prepackaged bankruptcy deal, the sources said, speaking on the condition of anonymity because the discussions are private.

This is one of at least two ongoing efforts to revive Fisker, which terminated the bulk of its workforce to preserve cash and hired bankruptcy advisers earlier this year.

Glad we could help out Obama's buddies, spending our money and talent developing it so we can give it to the Chinese.

I would love to see what Obama would do if an American company attempted to buy a Chinese company and the Chinese told us to go fuck ourselves.

It is interesting to see that you are trying to use this post as a spring board to post your political views. And it is also interesting that as much venom that's spewed on this post about Fisker that y'all are absolutely quite about the other posts about Tesla REPAYING their loan off to the government or that the Tesla S out sold the Audi A8. Come on guys y'all are better than that.

A good trend indeed, what's your point 009? If the Chinese takes over the a weak company meant preserving jobs and a brighter future for everyone involved, then I am all for it. Hell, the American managers certainly can't achieve that when they're at the helms right?

@tonyboy,
Repaying a loan is meeting your obligations. Want a cookie for doing what's expected?

GM can't even bring most of its Chinese profits out of China because the government won't allow it. Instead, GM has to buy other crap from the Chinese, probably Chinese parts, and then use them in assembly of Chinese vehicles, most likely to be exported to America in the near future because all we give a crap about is cheap prices. We lost our dignity long ago.

@holy,
Chinese (and Korean) companies don't have to worry about things such as profit, their jobs are to bankrupt the competition then rape the customers afterwards.
