Italian Government And Labor Questions Why Fiat Is Placing Profits Over Patriotism
The Italian government plans to press Fiat CEO Sergio Marchionne over concerns he's shifting the carmaker and heavy truck manufacturer Fiat Industrial away from the country.

Industry Minister Flavio Zanonato told newspaper Il Sole 24 Ore that he will meet with the CEO next week to ask about Italy's future role at the two companies. Zanonato's comments were confirmed by an Industry Ministry representative on Wednesday.

Fiat Industrial is planning for tax purposes to have its fiscal headquarters in the UK after completing a merger with tractor unit CNH Global NV.

Hmmm... Possibly because his there to make money, not prop up a failed workforce and economy?

It all boils down to entitlement of the nation and the workforce for a slice of the pie they never contributed to.
