2013 Lexus IS Receives Another Lukewarm Review By UK Publication
Diesel models dominate the executive car class, but the stylish new Lexus IS is designed to change that.

It isn't available with any diesel engines. Instead, buyers can choose between a 2.5-litre petrol V6 (badged IS250) and a IS300h hybrid, which combines a four-cylinder 2.5 with an electric motor.

On both versions, standard equipment includes an automatic gearbox, climate and cruise controls, a digital radio and keyless entry, plus the hybrid emits just 99g/km of CO2 – less than any Audi A4, BMW 3 Series or Mercedes C-Class.

Just look at it. Even the photo is barely luke warm. It is barely tepid.
Actually, it is stone cold looking.

That's a wrong colour to have.
However I would have one in white, rememeber not everyine wants to drive to the extreme like maniacs as BMW would like to portray, whats the point ? wouldn't you like to keep your driving license ?
IS300H or 320D, easy choice for me, i'd prefer the refinement of the hybrid everytime over any diesel rattle..

You obviously haven't driven a diesel since the 80s. The soot, rattle, shake, and smell is gone. The torque is still amazing, however. The diesels unfortunately have that urea/bluewater necessity now, which adds to the cost and complexity of the system.
I will personally stay away from hybrids as batteries are still a "wear item" and degrade with time/usage.

Not a fan. I think it uses one design cliché after another. And the spindle grille is horrible on all Lexuses. But maybe it takes getting used to. Everyone thought the Audi single-frame grille was this awful, huge, gaping maw. It still is, but everyone is used to it, and the older Audis without it look wimpy. Go figure.
