VIDEO: 2013 Nissan GT-R Faces Off Against The Alpina B6
It seems hard to believe that the Nissan GT-R can be challenged, but it seems our friends across the pond are willing to give it a go 'round.

Undoubtedly the GT-R is a track all star. It goes like hell and takes corners like none other. With all its technology and supreme grip it's tough to compete, but as we said, Autocar put the Alpina B6 up against it.

Though we're not entirely sure why they would even consider doing so, check out the clip below to see the difference between a really fast car and a GT-R.

Can the latest incarnation of the mighty Nissan GT-R fend off the challenges of the fettled Alpina B6? Steve Sutcliffe maxxes them out at Brands Hatch and then takes to the open roads, before deciding which one he'd choose to own...

Why you actually watch the entire video the Nissan GT-R beat the BMW Albina B6 in a in straight line, 0-60, 1/4 mile, braking test and around the track as well. And the best part it's stock versus the BMW.

Nice try BMW but maybe next time ; ) And why are they comparing the two cars anyway? They're totally in two different class.

What a surreal comparison.

Godzilla really is a marvel. It outperforms many supercars, yet it is reasonably affordable compared to many of its competitors.

I don't really understand the comparison, I think the two cars are aimed at different customers.

LOL ... Poor BMW, they will never build a car that can touch a GT-R.

Always the same result. GTR is first on the track, and always second on the road. Comparison after comparison. It really is the Japanese corvette.

Only 71 Alpina brand cars were sold in Germany in the first four months of 2013 -- but ZERO Alpina B6, not even one car was sold in Germany. Obviously even the Germans were unimpressed. And no wonder, the 102,000 euro Alpina B6 is probably no match for the cheaper M5 or more expensive M6. There was no good reason for Autocar to do this comparison test since the Alpina is no match for a Nissan GT-R (or the Audi R8 GT, R8 V10 Plus, etc). I wonder what incentive Autocar got from Alpina to plug its B6, when there were many other better cars to test against the GT-R.

German car reviewer Horst von Sauma, former editor of Sport Auto mag, is one of the most respected car reviewers, renown for his 'supertests' where part of his test involves driving a car at its limits on two well-known Greman tracks -- Nurburgring and Hockenheim. von Sauma is one of the most experienced Nurburgring drivers: in past years, he set several records at Nurburgring for fastest production car.
