Great In Person Shots Of BMW Pininfarina Gran Lusso Coupé Concept At Villa d'Este

BMW dropped an all new concept at Saturday's Villa d'Este in Italy called the Gran Lusso Coupé.

Of course all companies do concepts as a way to gauge customer interest before building the final cars.

It's been reported this is the upcoming 8-Series design but if you are a car expert you know this face could be the future mug for more BMW models.

Now that the in person pics are out it begs the question....

Would a next generation 7, 6, 5 and 3 turn YOU on if it sported this identity?

Not so good looking IMHO. A few elements are interesting, some are boring and some are just not coherent. I think the kidney sweeping over the top of the hood a little is interesting. The rear is interesting. The side is standard coupe lines and boring. The face in incoherent and each element does nothing to enhance the other, kinda like different people made different parts of the front. The headlights by themselves look good, the grill although too big is good, I don't like this new bottom feeder look to the lower intakes much and all together they don't mesh well at all. I give it a 6 out of 10.

Meh, and design that will not make it to production. A car BMW really dosen't need in their line up. Once again meh.

When I first saw images of this car, I thought it was a bad Photoshop job. Now I see it's just another unattractive car. BMW, what has become of you?

I'm not sure what the weight is but it already looks like it needs to shed a lot more of it. I think the next 8-series should be more of a GT, Just saying.

I think it looks good for a concept but the only thing is that the interior doesnt say concept I think this is the next 8 series if it gets approved I just think the front end needs some work other than that I like it
