First 2014 Equus Sedans Delayed As Transport Ship Goes Adrift

High-dollar U.S. buyers waiting to be among the first to snatch up Hyundai's redesigned Equus luxury sedan have a longer wait than expected. The ship carrying the first 61 2014 Equus cars from South Korea lost engine power last week and was adrift.

As recently as Monday, the Korean-flagged Morning Spruce was shown in the North Pacific with a speed of 0 on the marinetraffic.com website. The ship is shown with 0 speed in the Okhotsk Sea the four days prior to that.

Hyundai confirms the delay, but says it's not worried about losing the cargo -- repairs at sea are common -- though it now must shuffle some marketing activities timed with the U.S. launch of the new Equus.

Was the container boat from Hyundai ship building? These things are built in South Korea? What a rip.

Very old ship, no surprise is died at sea. They run these things until they are toast. I wonder what other vehicles are on board? I would bet plenty of Elantra GT's.
