Infiniti sales drop probably attributable sharp decrease in G sales. I think customers are holding off for the pending release of the Q50 which goes on sale this summer.

No doubt. The new leadership will take a while to undo the stagnant product mix, until then it will be ugly. It wasn't too long ago that Infiniti was pummeling Audi every month, but now it is the other way around.

This is an excellent example of how lack of innovation and substantial product updates can cripple a brand.

They need a flagship, stat.

31.2% is an astonishing gain for Nissan. Better than any of it's competition. Good Job.

As for Infiniti, I agree with the other comments. Infiniti is becoming stale with the G, FX & EX. The new Q50 looks great, but it needs to be the beginning of an onslaught of new product.

This is a pivotal moment for Infiniti to show it's true colors and resound with the consumer. Infiniti needs to prove it can hang with the big boys and not drop off like Acura.

EX sales are a joke when you look how strong the segment is - X3, Q5

they need a flagship but flagships arent the brands best seller. nearly 50% of all lexus' are rx350.
look at how sad the ex35 sales are.. with gas prices being as high as they are, its just sad that the qx56 outsells the ex and the fx combined. the way i see it small suv;s are hot now, x1/x3 glk, rdx, q5, srx, etc
the ex needs to be their game changer.

You had me until you said the EX needs to be their game changer. I love the FX, but I fear it needs to be updated.

What Infiniti needs is a G20 replacement and a Halo car like that rumored GT-R based sedan, not a large sedan/flagship.

Beside a new G20 replacement, Infiniti needs to be careful on the design of the new Coupe. We mostly assume it will look like the Essence Concept, but that could change.

And what of a halo product to get people in the door? (crickets)
