SPIED: If You've Been Waiting To Get A BETTER Look At The BMW 4-Series, Now's YOUR Chance
It's more or less like the first time you see your significant other and you're on the prowl. You want to get a better look and confirm your beliefs. Of course they're talking to a friend and you're getting all the wrong angles. And then, you see them for the first time and it's a revelation.
That's, more or less, what has happened with the all-new BMW 4-Series coupe. We've seen plenty of shots featuring the 4'er all camo'd up. But we're tired of that. We want to see more skin.
Finally, your wish has been granted.
Spy pictures emerging from overseas are giving us the BEST look yet at the all-new BMW coupe. Expectations are running high but I'll leave it to you to voice you opinion on the vehicle's new look.
I think it's finally safe to say if you're going to like the all-new 4-Series or if you're going to go spend your hard-earned dollars elsewhere.
Probably the most controversial element of what I am seeing now is the front valence. It actually looks A LOT more like the concept than I thought it would turn out. To me, it seems like the car has lost its teutonic look.

dissapointment, whats all that crap with the lower front and rear end ? look at how beautiful the A5 is in its elegant simplicity. BMW is trying too hard and missing it in ALL their cars, I expect way more from them, I don't want Bangle back but some one needs to review design direction.

I had a big issue with the tail lights in the spy photos. The tails are not as bad as I've thought. Will I buy one? Probably not. Will wait for the M4.

This thing looks like a rolling juke box. Bumper covers are hideous. Is there a "side vent delete" option? To think, I used to lust after BMW's.

agreed. the bumper, side mirrors and front fender vents are hideous and conflicts with BMW's long history of clean designs. Hyundai designs are less adorned than BMW. Very sad. To top it off, numb electric steering continues the dilution of BMW's base of nuanced driver feel. The ultimate posing machine.

Am I missing something here? Why is everyone commenting on the above pics' features....that are the CONCEPT? Those mirrors, that front and rear are NOT the final version, the very last pics is and is muted in comparison.

What's more hilarious is that the entire rear diffuser was eliminated, at least from what is shown in the spy pics.

Everything behind the door needs to be looked at. Something is not quite right about that area of the car. I can't put my finger on it, but it strikes me the wrong way.

The large front fender vent should go or at least get rid of the stupid trim around it, the lower front intake is way too busy as is the rear. I have owned and really enjoyed quite a few BMWs over the years but this is way too busy. BMWs look should be sophisticated for the normal models and the brute in a suite look for the M models, not this hey look at me look at me type of car....

Seating looks like a NYC cab drivers seat cover. So tacky. And everything is overdone. All those sharp parallel edges look like a damn German cheese grater. Rocker scoops like like a rx7 knock off.

I own one and its a great car. Those seats are the most comfortable seats I've ever been in and everyone who gets in it tells me the same thing. The power from the I-6 Turbo is fantastic. My car ran a 13.3@104 out of the box with me driving the first time I ever raced it. Not bad for a grocery getter. Mine is even the all wheel drive model with all seasons which was great in this past winters snow. So far it's been the best all around car I've ever owned and I've owned dozens of cars many of which were performance cars.
