RENDERED SPECULATION: Is Mercedes-Benz Preparing An Audi A4 Vario And BMW 3-Series GT Competitor?
We watched, we saw and BMW didn't conquer — at least it didn't conquer us — with the launch of the all-new BMW 3-Series Gran Turismo. Though it seems confident it will not misstep like it did with the 5-Series GT, I can definitively say that I will never, ever like that product.

With the 3-Series wagon, X1 and X3 I just can't see myself ever buying something so blatantly hideous when there are better looking — and likely to be less expensive — options.

But, here's the funny thing. The German marques are so eager to gain market share that they're all following each other into these ridiculous categories. Take, for example, the 3GT.

It has had no proven success AND the 5GT can be concluded a failure. YET Audi, and now rumors are highlighting Mercedes-Benz, will be throwing their hat into the ring!

You know what they say: "There's no business like the auto business."

Though I feel this is pure speculation, renderings from abroad are showing a possible C-Class competitor to square up against the 3GT and Audi A4 Vario.

Oh God, I hope not. For the record, I like MB most, then BMW and Audi. But from what I've seen, I've not been impressed at all. And the BMW GTs (3 and 5) are down right ugly, IMO. The MB rendering here is also ugly. I've said it before and I'll say it again, Citroens hatchback sedans are the best and the best looking, by far.

Step 1: Realize the world doesn't revolve around you. Nobody cares that you don't like 5GT. Your preferences are personal and not even acknowledging the improvements in the LCI to that model just underscore your bias.

Step 2: After doing 1, write intelligent articles explaining insight as to why 3 car companies filled with smart people who spend more money on market research than you make in a year have come to a completely different conclusion than you and your US centric race car fantasy driven view of what a car should be.

@Ernest

This is our show.

The LCI is a joke.

You're remark about market research and race car fantasy is just simply silly.
