Those who believe freeway speed cameras are more trouble than their worth ought to take a second look at the case of Francesca Cisneros of Chandler. Cisneros, 32, drives a Honda Civic frequently along Loop 101 through Scottsdale. She uses Scottsdale’s seven-mile stretch of the freeway frequently enough to have not only been photographed by the cameras for allegedly speeding, but to have been photographed 64 times in the last five months, the Tribune’s Mike Sakal reported Friday. Five more times, police say she was photographed speeding on surface streets.

In my area they put the top 20 Toll Tag Violators on the front page name and plate and city, calling them deadbeats. They tend to settle up pretty quick when that happens from embarassment. They need to do that here as well for the speeders.

Its great that we live in a free country that doesnt have "big brother" watching over us. (sarcastically) There needs to be a national law that prohibits the use of cameras, except for monitoring. In other words, no automated speeding ticket robots. The cameras should only be used to resolve issues that go to court.

Yeah neutral is right. How ironic for a country where a book such as "1984" was published. We are becoming, slowly, what we feared. Other things are okay with me, kind of, but the electronic surveillance for speeding tickets really suck.
