So, TVR Is Back. BUT Does Anyone ACTUALLY Care?
One of the UK's wackiest marques is supposedly at it again. TVR, known for building some of roughest and toughest sports cars that don't work, has been sold back to "UK interests."

For those of you who may not have been following the story where it last left off, it was last in the hands of Nikolai Smoelenski, who Jeremy Clarkson classified as a russian toddler, essentially. And considering there hasn't been ANY news about the storied company, it's not surprising it was sold off. Smolenski couldn't make the production of vehicles work nor could he with wind turbines, which was what he supposedly turned to post failure with autos.

Of course this has the rumormill starting up and claiming that the company is on its way back but I think the bigger question is: "does anyone care?"

They need to form alliances with other companies so they can source engines and other mechanical parts. Perhaps like Caterham they should co-produce a chassis to save on costs. They should not price it too high otherwise the expectation for quality and performance goes through the roof. The've been out since 2004. The car they built back then would not pass muster now.Quality and reliability must be dramatically improved. They need an export stratigy to good auto markets like the US. The European economy sucks. Britian is not much better.
