STUD OR DUD? New Mercedes-Benz S63 AMG Pops Up In Official Video

Mercedes revealed the all-new S-Class last month so the AMG-badged models are expected in due course. However, we didn’t expect the German carmaker to be so careless as to reveal the upcoming S63 AMG in what appears to be an official video announcing the production of its new flagship sedan. The S63 and V8 biturbo badges leave us in no doubt this is the range-topping S-Class, even if the styling cues are subtle in the extreme. The understated differences include the larger AMG alloys and the front air vents stripped of the fins that feature in the stock model.

Under the hood we expect to find a 5.5-liter twin-turbo V8, good for around 560 hp and as much as 585 hp as per the recently revealed E-Class facelift.

Didn't Mercedes say a while back that they are out of the horsepower wars. Yet they have the most powerful cars in their class (C63,E63,S63/65 etc.)
