Nissan Places The GT3 On Notice With 570 HP GT-R - But Does Porsche Really Need To Worry?
The ultimate GT-R is due this November and the new Porsche 911 GT3 has been put on notice.
If you thought the current Nissan GT-R was downright bonkers, then the folks at Nissan’s Nismo performance division will soon be offering something even more insane.

We’ve known for some time that a Nismo GT-R was in the works, scheduled to debut at the Tokyo Motor Show in November. Now we understand it will be the fastest GT-R ever made. How fast exactly? A new report is claiming that the Nismo GT-R will lap the Nurburgring in less than 7 minutes 18 seconds.

Here we go again. Why does Porsche or why should Porsche have to worry? Isn't it possible for both vehicles to co-exhist? Or is it the car that wins the comparisons the only one worth having? What's your affliction with a car being the Alpha Male? It doesn't work that way. Choosing a GT3 or a GTR is a great choice regardless of which one is actually better.

How fast do you want to go? Pssssst.....maybe you need a plane instead.

The Nissan GT-R price has escalated practically to the price of a plane.

Porsche does not have to worry and neither does Nissan.

While these two vehicles are direct competitors in performance, I doubt that many educated car buyers will be swayed from either of their entrenched camps.

I agree with tattedtwice. The Nissan looks like a toy car with its plastic shapes in the front. The front is really not very good looking, the back looks good but not original. The front Reminds me of the old Pontiac Gran Prix plastic shaped. I see the Nissan GT-R (also nothing original by the name) more as a Vett, Mustang or Viper comparison, certainly not a Porsche comparison. Porsche is quality, power, luxury, refinement and class, Nissan is quality and power.
