SPIED: Cadillac's Flagship XTS Caught Sporting A LOOOONG Wheelbase
Cadillac recently launched the all-new, rangetopping XTS. Priced at a relatively reasonable $44,075, it is Cadillac's top dog. What makes it particularly interesting is that it theoretically can compete with the likes of the Hyundai Equus and Lexus LS at a bargain basement price — Yup, it's base price is even cheaper than those guys. But, there is one thing it currently lacks: a long wheelbase variant.

That is, until now.

Thanks to the handiwork of a spy based out of detroit, we've got these exclusive images depicting the XTS in a couple different formats.

First off is the XTS in a proper limo spec. Count 'em, six doors. Not much to say there.

What is particularly intriguing though is what we're calling the XTS-L. Seen in our cover shot as well as below, this car looks as though it has added several inches to its length to make it a bit more friendly for rear seat passengers. And while I would assume that this can/will be on tap for commercial purposes in the domestic market, I wouldn't be surprised if General Motors served this up for the markets in the far east. That's where American cars are yearned for.

It's the Livery version of the XTS.

Great, just what we need. Our senior citizens driving a barge. It really should come with warning lights and "Oversize Load" on the bumper so everyone steers clear.
