SPIED: Hyundai's MOST Popular Model Gets Its FIRST Revamp — FIRST Spy Shots Snapped In U.S.
Arguably one of the most critical products in the rebirth of Hyundai was the Elantra. That's because it is one of the marque's most affordable products and when this generation of the vehicle made its big debut it was shocking.

It was shockingly good.

While its big-time competitors were going through their own struggles — Toyota was doing damage control from recallgate, and Honda was running a ghost ship — the all-new Elantra hit the mark by giving consumers something exciting, well packaged and it had a ton of space.

I remember driving a black Elantra in Philadelphia and looking in the glass at a red light. I wasn't thinking "Ugh. A Hyundai." I was actually admiring its shape and thinking "This looks good AND if I were the owner of this car I'd be proud to drive this car."

Considering I was a bit of a brand snob at that point, that was a very meaningful comment.

BUT now the competition has awoken, finally. And the Elantra has begun to grow a bit old. It's time for a refresh. While we're not entirely sure what Hyundai may be up to, we will be keeping an eye on the latest spy images emerging from the road.

The competition has finally awoken? Excuse me, but if it wasn't for the competition, Hyundai wouldn't have anything to sell at a discount because their designs would still be the ugly Korean crap they normally churn out. Their German designer can't even come out with anything beyond his recycled German designs from 5 years ago.

Drove by a dealership in Niagara Falls today, was proudly proclaiming 0% for 96 months. Jesus, have Canadians gotten so poor they need 8 years to pay off a $15,000 car? God bless those little Korean government though, taxing their people so us lazy asses can drive around in "luxury", I use the term extremely loosely.

Blame silly-azz dealers in the US as well. They will totally try to screw-over any consumer just to clear their lots of newer Hyundai-KIA models - so they can be awarded with a new shipment of vehicles. Tell me why do they think that me - as a consumer - is concerned about helping them get more new cars on their lot? They wanted to sell me a newer, cheaper KIA/Hyundai with a lot less content & features if I traded-in my current, well-maintained KIA. It was a complete joke of a deal.
