11 Features DISAPPEARING From Modern Autos — WHICH Do YOU Miss?
As cars are getting more modern every year, we've been starting to see a various features that were once common start to disappear. Some for the better, some for the worse. It's a fact: cars are becoming more complicated.

The days of simplicity are, well, over.

Take, for example, probably the most controversial is the manual transmission. That's because there are so many people who appreciate the engagement of depressing the clutch and shifting the car into gear. The age of dual-clutch transmissions and superior automatics is upon us and that's because they shift faster, and help the vehicle get better MPGs.

I had never heard the term "convertible hardtop" before. I always knew a car with no door post as a "hardtop", and with a door post it was a "sedan". "Convertible" always meant a removable or opening top. Maybe it's a regional thing.

Yeah that's one that had me going "huh?"

I think he probably meant "pilarless coupes," e.g., Mercedes-Benz CL-Class and E-Class.
