"Sports cars"? I wish:

"But the model which has posted the greatest success so far this year is the Porsche Cayenne, which posted a year-on-year surge of 22 percent to 42,354 vehicles."

I might agree w/ you, scenicbyway12, if you refer only to output. However, if you've not driven a Porsche lately, then I urge you to try. It might just change your mind.

I have driven a Porsche lately (Boxter Panamera, and Cayenne) Beside's the 911 (which has got a bit big) the Cayman and Boxter, the rest our over priced and over rated. In a recent review of a Cayenne diesel with the the Touarag diesel the specs were almost indentical, except the Porsche was 40k more, please. Same factory, Same drivetrain, same engine, perhaps one day the press won't be terrified of not getting invited back to a new model test, and write unbiased real review.

This is the problem with poor people trying to roll with the big boys.

If you have to have a Cayenne Diesel, then the one to go for is the Diesel S which has 382hp and about 850nm of torque. No bloody VW Touareg has such power or performance.

And we wont mention Ceramic Brake options or Burmeister Stereo or all the acronyms that Porsche offer on the Cayenne.

Know your place in the world, your life would be much better for it.

No the problem is dumb people buy a badge. The test I quoted above in not the Diesel S (which is not availabe in the US) and has no ceramic brakes, look at the spec's the cars are almost indentical. The is the least Porsche of any Porsche, it is a Tarted up Touareg TDI with MSRP 35k more. It like say a Escalade is nothing like a Tahoe. The only engineering here was the badge,

Check out the spec's
