High Performance Kia Optima In The Works?  Who Should Be Worried?
The recently refreshed sedan was spied near the Ring camouflaged and ready for high-speed testing.
The 2013 New York Auto Show was the venue for Kia to unveil the facelifted 2014 Optima, so what is the Korean carmaker doing at the Nurburgring with an optical camouflaged model?

There’s little evidence Kia is preparing a high-performance variant of its popular luxury sedan, but the fact it’s being kept under wraps (so to speak) coupled with the cabin sporting Recaro seats and a full roll cage, gives us hope something special is on the horizon. And with Frankfurt 2013 just a couple of month’s away don’t be surprised if Kia turns up with a new beefed-up Optima.

Will it actually be high performance or only the HP will be overrated on the brochure? I doubt anyone will be worried, if they charge high performance pricses, the person will just go buy a real car. I don't see the Genesis RS4-spec-M-AMG Phantom flying off lots.
