2007 Dodge Avenger Teaser!

Are these the official 2007 Dodge Avenger easer pictures? I hope so! By the looks of this it seems quite pleasingly toned down compared to its ugly horrific gut-wrenching twin car the Sebring!

I seem to like it! What do you think? I'm sure this will look like more of a four door caliber type... considering that the Avenger concept was the Caliber!

I personally don't get what the Idea of having this Avenger is! I mean Dodge already has the Charger and the Caliber! Is the Caliber now going to be considered as a "Sport Wagon"?

It looks good though! I just feel Daimler is wasting money! I think they should have dropped the Sebring a long time ago or they should have just specifically made it for fleet, because I'm sure nobody is going to actually BUY the new 2007 Sebring!

Looks better than the Sebring. It looks like a smaller Charger, but the Sebring doesn't really look like a smaller 300.

Yea, it does look like a smaller Charger. Looks really good! Hopefully it won't have that weird roof that the Caliber and Sebring. How about a sedan with normal pillars, Dodge?

One more note:

We had a Charger rental in Miami (only a V6). The engine was quite powerful, and the interior (mainly the backseat) was HUGE! It was like a fullsize sedan. This should be a midsize.

mstangpny07 - Two weeks back when I was in Florida we also had a Charger rental V6... very roomy... except for the center consoleit pushes into the back seat and made less room for the middle rear seat passenger!

This is the Stratus, just renamed.

I think you mean "Charger" It is on the "LX" platform. (Chrysler 300 and Dodge Magnum)

And, didn't that 3.5 have a lot of power? I was really surprised! I didn't notice the console, but I did notice that the door sills were very high. It made me feel uncomforable. I like to have a good 360 view. The window was almost at my shoulders! Bad idea!

the 3.5 v6 is a merc engine (the 350) and the 320cdi (or 3.0 crd as they call it in chryslers and jeeps) is better. its quicker (in the 300c) to 60 than the petrol.
do you guys get a 300c estate? we do.
this will probably form part of dodge's offensive on the uk market.

Chewy - I think you really hit the nail on the head! If there was ever a time when an American auto company needed to beef up its mid-size sedan, the time is now. After the success of the 300, I thought Chrysler had a good chance to produce a car that could compete with the Accord/Camry. When I seen the horrible pictures of the Sebring, I was so let down. The front fascia, the c-pillars(sp?) and the rear is all so ugly.

Who in their right mind will buy the new Sebring? I would have rather had a smaller version of the 300c. I hope the Avenger/Stratus will be better, but I am sure that it will be a rebadging of the Sebring...But hey, at least the Sebring have cooling/heating cupholders.....???

Had a Sebring rental a few years back in Toronto. It got rear ended in a parking lot and totaled. It was already a piece of junk. So they gave us a Grand Am. Another piece of junk. So hopefully this will be waiting for me at Thrifty next time I rent!
