FAKE It Till You MAKE It: London-Based Teens RENTING Exotics And Luxury Cars That Cost As Much As Their Homes

Well, it seems that exotic and luxury rental companies aren't just doing well in the US. They seem to be making an impact abroad in the UK where teenagers are making some noise — literally.

According to reports from Reuters, teens based in some not-so-posh neighborhoods are spending quite a few bills to rent out a nice set of wheels to commemorate their National Record of Achievement (NRA). Now I am not a British culture expert but from the sounds of it, it seems to be essentially a prom-like affair where the 16-year-old boys and girls get together to party. Pretty standard, actually.

The thing is now they've been saving up in their respective piggy banks and cashing them in on rides for the event. The story cites two occasions where students split the cost of an Audi S4 and, in another instance, where money was tight for one student who had to settle for a Range Rover Sport that was set up through family connections.

Boy, things have changed since I was a youngster. Typically you drove yourself to the event in a hooptie or piled into a limo with a slew of friends and called it a night!

Limo is the better way to go. I'd rather make out with the girl (girls) in a limo than have my hands on a steering wheel all night.
