BREAKING! GREAT Real Life Shots Of The BMW 2-Series SPIED! Will It Make The Competition See RED?
Those NAUGHTY little rascals over at Bimmerfest.com got their hands on some AWESOME real life shots of the BMW 2-series.

From the photos our eye sees it just a HAIR smaller than the current 3-series coupe.

From their article:

"This sounds like an exciting car given what we are hearing and the fact that it will be a smaller alternative to the growing 4 Series. The new 2 Series is marked for starting production in November of this year with the car going on sale around March 2014. The 2 Series will be offered in the M235i trim above as well as a base model 228i.

Who can't wait to find out more about the M235i?"

I wouldn't go so far as you, to say this car is ugly or made "without sany love," but I will say it looks like just another BMW to me. That's not a bad thing. It just doesn't inspire me to run out and get one.

@Terry989

The full article we point to has more photos that haven't been shown.

They are not our shots so we just used the older one for the cover shot.

Looks like a BMW's RWD version of a Kia Forte Coupe, which is not a bad thing!

The proportions look good, as does the overall package. The only problem will be when this hits dealerships with a $40k sticker with the 2M coming in around $53k(just predictions, not fact or inside pricing knowledge).

I'm actually looking forward to driving this car. As long as the weight is reasonable, it could be the best car for the driving enthusiast. Similar to how the 128/135 ended up being the best driving cars in the BMW line up - - - which then spawned the incredible 1M. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for a repeat performance.

Looks like a rounder version of the current 1 Series coupe. I actually think it looks good, maybe even better than the 4 Series. I really like the front-end treatment.

Au contraire, mon freres ! Its all about the driving and this little guy is going to be one sweet car to drive...a little pocket rocket with lsd, light weight and power. Let the hedge fund guys be poseurs in the new M4 and real drivers have a lighter tighter street rod that is fun and usable in the real world. I've had my deposit down for six months now on the first M2 allotment my local dealer gets. The 1M was a quickly pieced together marvel and my money is on the M2 being even better and BMW going back to its roots to make an ultimate street driving machine for enthusiasts. Time will tell.

Looks very good to me. A welcome respite from the 2-3 ton abominations now dominating BMW. Give me one with a manual, LSD and B&O sound system, and I'll be happy.

001: "Will It Make The Competition See RED?"

Nah, the competition (Audi A3/S3) will... become red or yellow... in cabrio or coupe... in A3, S3 or RS3 or even more.

At the recent prestigious Red Dot Design Awards, the Audi A3 Sportback and the Audi S3 won titles for their styling quality, along with the R8. The jury of 37 experts from 24 countries selected the winners from more than 4,600 products and projects entered from 54 countries. The Red Dot Design Award is an international product design prize awarded by the Design Zentrum Nordrhein Westfalen since 1955. Turning such a well-designed A3/S3 into an appealing coupe and cabrio should not be a problem for Audi.
