The List Of North American Car Of The Year Entries Is Out. WHICH Two Would Be YOUR Choice If YOU Were A Judge?
The official list of nominees of the 2014 North American Car Of The Year has been released and although it's quite a long list, the two winners they will pick seem pretty obvious to us.

The reason why is becuase the judging panel usually skews heavy out of the Detroit area and they have a history of being homers and not picking the BEST vehicle but the one that is best for Motown's image.

Something we've never understood is why the manufacturers go so far out of their way to coddle this judging panel because we just don't think the win turns into sales at dealers.

We won't reveal which two we think they will elect will just yet.

We want YOU to pick.

And we want you to choose in eacy category (car and truck) which rides SHOULD win and which ones WILL win.

Think of it as advertising. A company pays for ads in the HOPE that they will generate more sales, and get a return on their ad investment, but this may not turn out as desired.

For the SUV, I know you guys really like the LR Range Rover Sport. But it is very expensive. So I would vote for the vehicle that I am actually getting, as I ended up test driving virtually everything in the small CUV class and was most impressed by the new Forester (the turbo but without all the expensive extras). What I think will win... either the Range Rover Sport or the MDX.

As for cars, I think the new Corvette deserves it and I think it will win as well.

The Fiat 500L and Cherokee were the few to really break the mold and try something risky.
