First REAL WORLD DRIVE And REVIEW Of The 2014 Corvette. One Question Remains Unanswered Though...
The hype is finally over wondering what the all new 2014 Corvette would drive like as the guys at Edmunds got their hands on one.
Unfortunately, people are only looking for ONE answer and they don't address it in the review...
IS IT AS GOOD AS OR BETTER THAN A PORSCHE 911 OR NISSAN GT-R AND DOES IT WIN THAT PISSING CONTEST?
But it's nice that they at least tell us what it is like to drive and how it performs?
See some of their comments and then click the read article link to read the full review:
"Chevy is giving the world a performance car with few compromises. It's faster than just about everything on the road, will happily get you to work every day or through a weekend road trip and it costs about 60 percent as much as its German competition
How does a 12.0-second quarter-mile at 117.3 mph sound? Sixty mph was gone in 4.1 seconds (3.8 seconds with 1-foot rollout as on a drag strip).
you'll be comfortable driving it to work every day. Even Porsche's do-all 911 can't match the ride/handling balance available in the Stingray.
Braking seems to be the only shortcoming in an otherwise comprehensive performance package, and the team undoubtedly needed to leave headroom for more capable brakes on future high-performance models. "
Are you satisfied with the results?

Who Cares... The 2014 Stingray is it's own thing, offering a level of performance and value that NO Porsche or GT-R can even attempt to match.

Level of performance no Porsche or GTR can match? The GTR can accelerate 0-60 in less than 3 seconds, the Porsche 911 turbo can do it in well under 4 seconds. I doubt this one will beat the GTR around a track either. The GTR will beat this Stingray, but with 450hp, trhey leave lots of room for a Z06 and ZR1, which should match or beat the GTR. I will say the performance is shocking for something with "only" 450hp and RWD.
