Consumer Report also loved the Volt and the Cruze. Too major losers for Government Motors.

Consumer Report also praised the Chevrolet Vega when it came out. Perhaps the worst car Cherolet ever made. Shows you how completely worthless the Consumer Report "stamp of approval" is on a car.

Hmmm. I wonder if your pov has anything to do with the car in question being from GM? I ask because you also attack the Volt, By the way, your friend may indeed have got a bad car, though that doesn’t mean that ALL Volts have problems, being that all the reviews that I have read about them have been quite complementary.

Umm... pretty lame comments skyflop. The Chevy Cruze was the 2nd best selling car in the US in June. 2 million have been sold worldwide.

I don't love the look of the Impala but you should give credit where it's due. If it does make it into the rental fleet I will look forward to driving it!

And how many of those sales were fleet sales? Give me true retail numbers then you can feel good about those sales.

And to skytop's comment about the Volt: My friend just got a new car based on the Lemon Law since his Volt had continual problems and spent more than 6 cumulative weeks in the shop. I think that's all I need to know before ever considering that car.

Thats great for Chevy. But the article is wrong the highest rating on an American sedan is the Tesla Model S.

Reliability, Satisfaction, Owner Cost ratings to come. Road test score in the 90's is no guarantee of being recommended. Best to give new GM models 2+ years to resolve new model issues.
