SPY SEARCH: WHICH Autos Do YOU Think Look Like They've Been Beaten With An UGLY Stick, Will Live Up To The Legacy Of The Pontiac Aztek?
I think it's safe to say that most consumers want a good looking vehicle. You have to remember that vehicles are typically a household's second largest purchase and people's perception of cars is that they are a status symbol. Can't really disagree with that.

When an automaker goes out on a limb, we like it. That's because a lot of the time an auto manufacturer's greatest moments happen. Problem is when they don't hit the mark.

That's when you wind up with something like the Pontiac Aztek, easily the most revolting vehicle in automotive history. No there isn't any hyperbole in that sentence. It really is that dreadful.

That got 001 and I thinking. WHICH recent all-new vehicles do you think are in that category of "Oh, God no!"

Can YOU name five candidates that will live up to or surpass the Aztek's long lasting reign of "ugh!" ?

Actually, with all the hideous appliances coming out of Japan and Korea -- the Aztek is starting to look pretty good.

Jeep Cherokee. Nissan Juke. PT Cruiser of course is already in that pantheon. Nissan Murano Cross-Cabriolet might be the ugliest thing in the history of the universe.

Cross Cabriolet is definitely on the top of my list. After that: Subaru Tribeca, 5GT, Dodge Durango and Journey, Toyota Camry, anything by Mini.

BMW 5GT, 3GT, and basically any station-wagons, or "Estate" cars as Europeans love to call them.

The new winner is the BMW i3. The Aztek is smiling big right about now.

Range Rover 'Evoque'. The bashed in roof is ghastly and yet so many rave over it.Not even worthy of being a range anyway, vastly overpriced.
