The 2014 Lexus IS is so strikingly different from the car it replaces that it almost deserves a new name.

The contrast starts with how it looks. The wheelbase has been stretched three inches and the car is nearly half an inch wider.

Test drove this recently, car drove well and the handling is pretty good. The interior is typical Lexus - Top of the class. The power, engine and exterior design though left a lot to be desired, esp. compared to BMW's turbo straight 6s.

They really need a tuned version, their current performance offerings are pretty weak sauce.
