Subi Picks Up The Pieces From Toyota And Teases High Performance STI Version Of BRZ
The Japanese based automaker Subaru has recently released the first teaser images with the high performance STI version of the BRZ, which is expected to be unveiled later on this year.

Two years after the regular version of the Subaru BRZ has seen daylight, along with its Toyota GT86 and Scion FR-S brothers, the carmaker is getting ready to pull the wraps off the high performance version of the model, despite Toyota’s announcement on the GT86 Convertible and turbocharged version. The brand new Subaru BRZ STI, in its final production version, will probably be based on the concept wearing the same name and rumors are saying that the model will be unveiled at the 2013 Los Angeles Auto Show in November.

Yes yes yes awesome. The overpriced Nissan 370Z needs something to put it in its place, and Mazda needs something to aim for with the next MX-5.

That's like saying the overpriced M3 needs something to put it in its place. There's a reason why cars like the 370Z and M3 are still around and it is because there are no other cars in their price ranges that can touch these cars.

Sad that Toyota still isn't getting it. They cancel convertible and turbo versions as too expensive, only to have Subi sweep in and take steal the thunder.

Nowhere has anyone said that Toyota won' get a hopped up version also. Only speculation (and no offical word anyway) that it won't be turbocharged.
