Mini Axing Coupe And Roadster for 2014

Though the vehicle will share MINI’s new front-wheel-drive architecture, the new sports car will look entirely different than what’s currently offered in the Coupe and Roadster.

Good! Mini's "backwards cap" design cue was cheesy and not distinguishable enough from the standard Mini Cooper.

I recall a lot of flak coming from members about the styling of the two discontinued models. They weren't good looking. That's for sure. I guess they appealed to a very small market segment.

MISLEADING AND INACCURATE HEADLINE. Nowhere in the article does it say the Coupe and Roadster are "being axed for 2014."

It says the new sports car will debut in late 2015. But nothing saying the current models are not part of the 2014 lineup.
