Battle Of Detroit Supercars: 2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray vs. 2014 SRT Viper
We love German and Italian supercars. They are considered the pinnacle of engineering and design in every aspect. However, there is a sense of pride we feel when our hometown based automakers from Detroit release new supercars with massive engines and very aggressive styling. TL;DR -- Stingray costs half as much as the Viper and is only .4 seconds slower to 60 so it wins.

No seriously that's all the actualy article says.

I am far, far more interested in comparisons of cars that cost within $10k of each other. That will tell you what you should buy over something else if you're doing any cross-shopping. Corvette Z51 vs Porsche Cayman (not the S) for example. Or vs the highest end Mustang which is pushing past $50k. The Cayman S with any sorts of options is going to run you into next-gen Z06 territory so that's where that comparison will have to be made. Etc.

Viper is expensive. When the next ZR1 comes out it can be compared to it. Or to a Carrera S or something.
