SPIED On The STREET: Mercedes-Benz's 2014 S-Class Comes Out To Play In Hoboken

Though the 2014 Mercedes-Benz S-Class is not slated to arrive in showrooms until September, a good friend of AutoSpies — What's up, Dan!? — sent us this image from his night on the town last night.

Spotted roaming about Hoboken New Jersey was an all-new S completely exposed. Sporting a set of Michigan "Manufacturer" plates, I think this is one of two things:

1) A press vehicle from Mercedes' fleet that they keep stored in Hoboken — at least they stored them in an underground parking garage last time I checked, or...

2) A "marketing car" that just so happened to wander into Dan's lens at the right place at the right time.

Wow! Looks JUST like the official pictures released weeks ago.

Is it still considered SPIED when everyone knows what the thing looks like and its being driven around without camouflage?
