2014 Viper Price Jumps by $2,000 to $99,395

Chrysler dropped a statement this morning stating that the pricing for the 2014 SRT Viper has been increased by $2,000 to $99,395. The reason?

According to Chrysler: “The price increase covers some additional standard equipment (HD Radio with Navigation and Uconnect Access; 900 Watt 12 Speaker Harman Kardon audio system, including 2 subwoofers; and the ParkView Back-up Camera.).”...

If the Viper were the same price as the new Corvette Stingray, I would take the ‘Vette. As it stands, the Viper approaches double the cost of the Corvette.

Now, if I were getting double the performance, I could understand the price differential.

Since you aren't (and it bears mentioning that that we’re talking about the baseline Corvette) I think the Vette is an even better buy.
